GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – Lunch on Saturday 15 September in Plainpalais promises to be one to remember. That’s because over 1,500 people are expected in the popular Geneva plaza to partake in an international day of solidarity with local growers, advocating “food sovereignty” and natural resources conservation.
The Meal as the event is known around the world, will take place in Geneva, Lausanne in Montbebon, Vevey, Chambrelien, Sion, Berne, Basel, Nax/Valais and Mies.
Giant TV screens will broadcast live other lunch events around the globe.
Meals are sold between CHF10-25 per person. Lunch begins at noon, followed by activities and concerts.
Bon apétit!
