If you thought you saw Marilyn Monroe or several green monsters wandering through town today, your eyes weren’t deceiving you. Students of the Gymnase (high school) of Nyon, disguised as chickens, salt and pepper pots, surfers (a long way away from any waves), were all having fun on the annual "crazy day." Once a year they are allowed to attend classes dressed up in costume. The town was entertained by the sight of Smurfs crossing the road, Minnie Mouses eating their lunch in cafes, and fairies in the queue at the supermarket.

The imagination and work that had gone into some of the costumes was impressive. Full marks goes to the girl who sat through lessons with a big plastic flip flop on her back.
