The cheerful traveler guide: traveling to and from Geneva
Traveling to and from Geneva, for business and leisure
Whether you travel for pleasure or for business, flying in and out of Switzerland, and Geneva in particular, is easy. The country has several smaller and many private airports but the most popular options remain the two largest cities’ main airports: Geneva and Zurich. Geneva is the second largest city in Switzerland, the birthplace of the private banking industry, and home to dozens of international organizations including the European office of the United Nations. It is the most important international port of entry for southern Switzerland and neighbouring France.
Our cheerful traveler guide takes Geneva as your arrival point and departure point, whether you’re visiting or you live in the Lake Geneva region. From here we take you to some of Switzerland’s other main cities, with tips on getting there and getting around easily once you’re there.
