Melbourne, Australia (GenevaLunch) – Roger Federer is through to the semi-finals of the Australian Open after beating James Blake in straight sets. Dressed all in black, the world number one from Basel won 7-5 7-6 6-4 against the number 12 seed from the USA. The two-hour match was a relative breeze compared to his 4 hour, 27-minute epic against Serbia’s Janko Tipsarevic on Saturday. Federer will face another Serbian, third seed Novak Djokovic, in the semi-finals. The other semi-final is between Spain’s Rafael Nadal, the number two seed, and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, the unseeded Frenchman.
