GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – Matthew Nisly, age 20, has now been missing for a week after he left his grandparents’ home in Brig, canton Valais, to go hiking. The youth, who has both US and Swiss nationality, lives in Frauenfeld.
He left his grandparents’ home at 10:00 Monday 19 October to hike in the Blatten-Belalp/Naters area.
He has not been seen since and his family last week asked Valais police to issue a missing persons alert for him.
Nisly is 173cm tall, slim, with brown hair and blue eyes. He was wearing gray jeans and a white jacket, with mountain boots, and he was carrying a green or yellow striped backpack.
