Location sharing is a great new feature in Google Maps that can be useful in a variety of situations. For example, if you’re meeting up with someone, you can share your location with them, so they know exactly where you are.

Or, if you’re going on a hike or running errands, you can share your location with family or friends so they know you’re safe.

To share your location, just open up Google Maps and tap on the menu icon in the top left corner. Then, select “Location sharing.”

From there, you can choose how long you want to share your location for and who you want to share it with. The person you share your location with will then get a notification letting them know.

Overall, location sharing is a handy tool that can come in handy in a variety of situations. So next time you need to let someone know where you are, be sure to use the location sharing feature in Google Maps.

2. Group Planning

Google Maps is making it easier than ever to plan a trip with multiple people. With the new “group planning” feature, you can create a map and share it with others so they can add their input.

To use this feature, just open up Google Maps and tap on the menu icon in the top left corner. Then, select “Your places.” Next, tap on the “Maps” tab and then select “Create Map.”

From there, you can add locations, pins, and notes to your map. Once you’re finished, you can share your map with others so they can see it and add their input.

This can be helpful if you’re trying to coordinate a group outing or vacation. For example, if you’re planning a road trip with friends, you can use this feature to map out your route and add different stops along the way.

Or, if you’re planning a family vacation, you can use it to map out activities and attractions everyone will enjoy. This new feature is just one more way Google Maps is making it easier to explore the world with the people you care about.

3. Indoor Maps

If you’ve ever found yourself feeling lost in a large building, you know how frustrating it can be. Thankfully, Google Maps now offers indoor maps for select businesses and locations.

This can be a lifesaver if you’re trying to find your way around an unfamiliar place. To access indoor maps, just zoom in on the location in question and then look for the “Indoor Maps” label.

Once you’re inside the building, you’ll be able to see icons for different businesses and amenities. This can help you get your bearings and figure out where you need to go.

And if you’re still feeling lost, you can always use the map to find your way back to the entrance. Indoor maps are just one more way that Google Maps is making it easier to navigate the world around us.

4. Live View

Google Maps’ new live view feature is nifty. It uses augmented reality to show you exactly where you are and what’s around you.

To use live view, just open up Google Maps and tap on the menu icon in the top left corner. Then, select “Live view.” From there, hold up your phone so that it can see the area around you.

You’ll then see arrows and icons appear on your screen, showing you where to go. The arrows show you which way to walk, while the icons show you points of interest nearby, like restaurants, cafes, and shops.

Live view is a great way to explore a new area or simply to get your bearings in an unfamiliar place. And since it’s built into Google Maps, you can be sure that it’s accurate and up-to-date.

So next time you’re feeling lost, give the live view a try – you might be surprised at how helpful it can be!

5. Incognito Mode

Last but not least, Google Maps now has an incognito mode. This is similar to the incognito mode in Chrome, which means that your activity will not be saved to your account.

To use incognito mode, just open up Google Maps and tap on the menu icon in the top left corner. Then, select “Incognito mode.”

Once you’re in incognito mode, your searches and directions will not be saved to your account.

This can be useful if you’re looking for directions to somewhere you don’t want to be seen searching for or if you don’t want your search history stored in your account.

Incognito mode is a welcome addition to Google Maps, and it’s sure to make a lot of people happy. Thanks, Google!
